Magazeti checks out the latest electric trimmers to hit the shelves

Remington Touch Control

The world’s first beard trimmer to feature touchscreen control technology. Impressive, huh? The LED touchscreen allows for precision length control that can be adjusted in minuscule 0.1mm increments, allowing users a whopping 175 length options. You can also adjust the speed of the shave, but there’s a locking function to stop any mid-shave settings changes. Even better, there’s a built-in vacuum cleaner to suck up clippings, minimizing cleanup, and it can be recharged via USB. Pretty much the ultimate beard trimmer out there.

Braun Cruzer 6

A high-quality shaver designed for trimming both beard and head hair. Braun, the German company behind the Cruzer, has been in the electric shaver business since 1951, so this model comes backed up by a half century of quality German engineering. The powerful trimmer features a dual battery set up that kicks the power up or down a notch, depending on the difficulty of the hair it is cutting. Its sharp blades are stainless steel and the Cruzer 6 comes packed together with a beard comb, a head comb and a travel pouch. Precise and efficient.

Wahl Stainless Steel Lithium Ion+

This American-made shaver is extremely sturdy: its blades and body are made of heavy-duty stainless steel, which makes it almost indestructible. Pricier than most options on the market, but worth the extra pennies as it’s going to last the distance. The lithium ion battery is powerful and long-lasting, giving up to seven full shaves on a single charge. It also comes with a nose and ear hair trimmer. On the downside, its motor lacks expected strength given its great design and you might need to make several passes to get the desired cut.
